Evance Iskra R9000

"In the first year, the Iskra generated almost 15Mwh of energy, far more than we expected. I wouldn’t mind having a whole field of them.” William Barons owner of an Evance Iskra AT5-1 Small Wind Turbine in Devon.

Efficient Wind Power from the Evance Iskra R9000 Wind Power Generator

Evance Iskra R9000 in SomersetThe Evance Iskra R9000 is probably the most sought after small wind turbine available. Being the "next generation" of small wind turbines, it fully integrates the very best of existing technologies with major new patented innovations. The result is an attractive turbine with uncompromising performance and excellent reliability. The 'Evance Iskra R9000’ is even quieter, more efficient and more robust than the highly popular Iskra AT5-1. It is also easier to install and service whilst retaining its good looks!

Evance wind turbines are the most efficient, cost-effective small wind turbines available.

Designed as nature intended, their turbines work with the wind to capture more energy at lower wind speeds. The result is quiet, more efficient operation. Their design goes beyond simple ergonomics to guarantee your turbine makes an elegant addition to any surroundings, rather than an eyesore.

The Iskra R9000 is designed for schools, farms, rural homes and light commercial applications.

Gaia

“We wanted a wind turbine that could produce enough to make a big difference to our energy bills and give us the chance of another income. With such a big investment we did a lot of research and that has paid off. Its performance has been fantastic”  Mr. Bronte-Stewart owner of a Gaia133-11kW Small Wind Turbine in Ayrshire

The Gaia 11kW turbine has a very large blade with a diameter of some 13m. This gives it exceptional low wind speed performance at sites typically of the majority of lowland areas of the UK.

Gaia 133 Wind Turbine in CornwallWith 150 wind turbines already installed, the Gaia 133 is a well established and tested design with a 10 year record of reliable operation.

Endurance E-3120

The Endurance E-3120 is a 55kW downwind machine with a 30 year design life and 5 year warranty. It can out perform other wind turbines rated at 80kW.

The Endurance E-3120 Wind Turbine is designed for farms, irrigation pivots, schools, hospitals, manufacturing and fabrication companies, and any other applications requiring 125,000 to 250,000 kWh per year of electricity. Spinning at a low rotor speed, the 19.2m rotor diameter is designed specifically for higher efficiency in wind speed conditions usually experienced in the UK.

Wind power provides electricity for individual or multiple buildings with any 'excess' power being sold back to the National Grid. On Farms, because wind turbines take up little space, renewable energy is produced without compromising valuable farmland.

Solar Thermal Panels

Solar water heating systems (also known as solar thermal) use the sun’s energy to provide domestic hot water. The government’s figures are that a well designed system should deliver about 60% of your hot water requirements.

There are many systems available (including those specifically designed for swimming pools). Greenthinking can help you to decide whether Solar Water Heating is appropriate for your property, and if so, advise on the range of products available and which would suit your budget and your needs.

Greenthinking Service

Greenthinking do not currently sell Solar Thermal Systems. However, Andrew Lovering (Greenthinking Partner) has a wealth of knowledge on such Systems and is happy to recommend systems and reliable suppliers according to your needs.

Solar Photo Voltaic (PV)

Simple and Reliable Solar Power Generation

Solar photo voltaic systems (Solar PV) capture the sun’s energy converting sunlight into electricity to use in your home or business. PV cells do not require direct sunlight to work proving electricity even on cloudy days. However the stronger the sunshine the more electricity is produced.

Benefits of Solar Photo Voltaic Systems (PV)

Reduces energy bills
Cost effective
Reduces carbon footprint
Minimal maintenance
Reduces carbon footprint
Grant available
No noise or greenhouse gases produced
Increase value of property
Can work alongside a heat pump or solar hot water system (solar thermal)
Can offset cost of tiles for new roof or roof replacement
Can be installed on buildings or at ground level
Does not require planning permission in most cases
Proposed payment of up to 36.5p/kWh for all electricity produced for the Feed in tariff from April 2010

Biomass Fuels Wood Pellets

Wood pellets – clean, automatic

Wood chip – clean, automatic, large storage area required. Suitable for larger systems

Logs – Manual loading to hopper, not automatic lighting, large storage area required

Biomass Boilers & Room Heaters

Biomass boilers and room heaters burn wood pellets, or wood chips, or logs, and some will run off more than one of these fuels.

Whilst biomass heating systems have been around for a very long time, modern systems are clean and efficient.

SeptiTreat

Note: Available whilst stocks last

Bacteria are nature's invisible cleaners. That is why SeptiTreat contains strains of naturally occurring bacteria selected for their ability to break down the complex fats, grease and organic matter that can often lead to poor performance, blockages and unpleasant odours from septic tanks.

What is Algae Pro?

Algae Pro is a blend of naturally occurring micro-organism

How Does Algae Pro Work?

The micro-organisms in Algae Pro consume the excess nutrients required by algae and blanket weed, the algae and blanket weed therefore have nothing to feed on and so die.

TREC

The Renewable Energy Cabin (TREC) is an innovative, stand alone, classroom in which students can study how renewable energy works and investigate arguments for and against the various renewable technologies.

Developed in Partnership with King's College Taunton with funding from the Royal Society the wooden cabin is supplied with various options for the study of renewable technologies, sustainability and the environment in line with the requirements of the National Curriculum.

TREC will be launched later in 2010 - for initial enquiries please contact Greenthinking.
